About You:
I've been around forever... bands... Rocko Steele/Cold Steel in mid 1970s. Unit 1978-1980. Personal Effects 1980-1992. Margaret Explosion 2002-present. I've released half a dozen records or so with Personal Effects, as well as produced releases from Uncle Sam, Absolute Grey, Steve Greene Trio, Steve Greene and Gene Bertoncini. Released 11:11, my first solo CD in 2002. Release a Christmas song every year as a part of a progressive Christmas album I've been working on since 1999. I own RTM&Associates, Inc, an advertising agency that specializes in music, pro sound and broadcast industries.

Me Me Me and Me Some More!

Well, actually, in another incarnation, I am kind of a "quiet mature gentleman" and have released a CD of much more calm and relaxing music. My website, BobMartin11:11, has snippets of music and a lot of info about that CD. Check it out!

"I See Heroes" Pulled from YouTube by MTV

So, someone had posted a copy of the Personal Effects song "I See Heroes" on YouTube a while back. This was a song we released in the mid 1980's which made it into rotation on MTV. Duane Sherwood, our director of lighting and performance media and director of most of our videos, did the video for Heroes.

Recently, someone from Georgia had posted it to YouTube, which we thought was pretty cool. Anyway, MTV recently ordered YouTube to take the video down. Again, kinda cool being in the spotlight… Continue

The First 50 Invites Are Out!

Spent the night tweaking this site and sending out invitations to join. Got two takers right away! Hopefully, we'll get a few more by tomorrow. My goal is global domination. I want EVERY LOUD MUSICIAN over 40 (if you're good, I'll let you join if you're as young as 30) to be signed up, on this site and having some good, stinkin' fun.

Hey Bob:

I like the site but I'm not sure my songs got on. It looks like they did but I can't hear them...Am I just dumb or am I just deaf...either way, it seems like I am the perfect candidate for this site. Also, I would like to start adding friends but I'm not quite sure how to do that. Do friends have to belong to Old guys or can it be from anywhere? How exactly is it that I get them to go on...wow, I am old and probably deaf...I am a perfect candidate for this site....did I already say that?...I AM a perfect candidate for this site. Anyway, if I get this down, this is a really cool site and I'm happy to be a part of it.

By the way, you missed a pretty cool gig at Hamez on Friday. Ray did play his ass off.

Bob, I don't know how loud I am any more, but hey! This week my string quartet will actually play an amplified gig. Got to get out the gtr soon, though - I'm itchin' for it.

"The Future is Unwritten", Julien Temple's bio of Joe Strummer, is probably mandatory if you are an old loud guy. Have a riot of your own...

Hi, Bob.
My friend, John Carter, invited me to join, and I wrongly assumed it was his site. So scratch what I said, and now I say"Hi!". I'll add some tunes soon...
